Does BARS offer the Queensland firearms safety course for general firearms licensing?

Armed Security and Weapons · 23 views
Yes. BARS Training Australia delivers the 11029NAT Course in Firearms and Weapons Safety (Approved for Firearms Licensing in Queensland).

This is the accredited firearms safety course used for general Queensland weapons licensing and is separate from our specialist Security Guard Weapons training for people intending to work as armed security guards. BARS can provide firearms safety training across the applicable categories, including Categories A and B, C, D, H and M, depending upon the genuine reason and weapons licence being sought.

It is important to remember that 11029NAT is an accredited course with a defined accreditation period. The current course is accredited until 30 April 2027 and, as required, will need to go through the appropriate renewal/replacement process for delivery beyond that accreditation period.

BARS has been delivering Queensland firearms safety training through successive approved courses for many years, so students should simply check the current course requirements when they are ready to enrol. Completing the firearms safety course provides the required training evidence for the applicable licensing pathway; it does not itself issue you with a weapons licence. The final licensing decision remains with Queensland Police Service Weapons Licensing.
