Can cash-in-transit units count toward Certificate III?

Cash-in-Transit Security · 20 views
es. The three cash-in-transit units completed through BARS Training Australia are actually units from the CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations. They are
  • CPPSEC3118 Inspect and test cash-in-transit security equipment,
  • CPPSEC3119 Implement cash-in-transit security procedures and
  • CPPSEC3120 Load and unload cash-in-transit in secured and unsecured environments.
The nationally recognised CPPSS00061 Cash-in-transit Skill Set specifically states that these units may provide credit towards CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations.

This is another good reason to consider completing cash-in-transit training after your Certificate II. You are not only gaining the additional training required to apply for the cash-in-transit function on your Queensland Class 1 security provider licence – you are completing nationally recognised Certificate III-level units that may later contribute towards a higher security qualification.

If you later enrol in CPP31318 and those same units form part of your selected training program, they can be recognised through credit transfer rather than you having to complete the same units again. So your CIT training can achieve three things: broaden your Queensland licence functions, improve your employment opportunities and potentially give you a head start towards a Certificate III in Security Operations later in your career.
