How long is the BARS cash-in-transit course?

Cash-in-Transit Security · 17 views
The BARS Training Australia cash-in-transit course is delivered through a combination of self-paced workbook learning followed by an 8-hour face-to-face training and practical assessment component. The workbook allows students to complete the underpinning knowledge at their own pace before attending the practical training.

During the face-to-face component, students work through the practical skills required across the three cash-in-transit units, including inspecting and testing CIT security equipment, implementing cash-in-transit security procedures and safely loading and unloading cash and valuables in secured and unsecured environments. Cash-in-transit is a practical security function, so students must demonstrate the required skills rather than simply answer questions in a workbook. The 8-hour face-to-face component allows our experienced BARS facilitators to work through demonstrations, practical activities and assessment scenarios with each student.

Actual delivery can also be influenced by class size because every student must be given sufficient opportunity to practise and demonstrate the required competencies. BARS regularly schedules cash-in-transit training following our CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations courses.

This makes it a convenient additional course for students wanting to broaden their security licence functions and employment opportunities while their Certificate II knowledge and practical skills are still fresh.
