My Queensland security licence expired less than 12 months ago. Do I have to complete CPP20218 again?

No. If you held the same security licence functions within the previous 12 months and are applying again for those same functions, section 11(2A) of the Security Providers Act 1993 allows the approved training requirement to be treated as satisfied where OFT is satisfied that the conditions are met.

OFT has confirmed that this applies regardless of the qualification originally used to obtain the previous licence.

You must still make a new licence application because an expired licence cannot simply be renewed. Any applicable outstanding ongoing training requirements must be addressed separately.
