Are concessional students charged for funded CPP20218 at BARS?

Security Course Fees and Payment Options · 27 views
No. BARS Training Australia has chosen to provide the CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations fee-free to eligible concessional students approved for Queensland Government Career Start funding. Under the government funding rules, Skills Assure Suppliers may provide lower-level Certificate I and II qualifications fee-free to eligible concessional students. BARS has chosen to do exactly that. This means that an eligible concessional student approved for Career Start funding currently pays no student co-contribution fee for their CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations with BARS.

The current BARS co-contribution is therefore $0 for concessional students, compared with $20 for eligible non-concessional students. Your concessional status and Career Start eligibility must still be established before enrolment. The student must submit an application containing the required declarations and identification so BARS can complete the required eligibility checks.

All course costs and funding eligibility will be fully disclosed during the pre-enrolment assessment. Submitting an application to BARS does not commit you to enrolment, and you are not required to proceed after your eligibility and costs have been explained.

Remember that fee-free training relates to the BARS course. Separate Queensland Office of Fair Trading security licence application, criminal history and fingerprinting fees are not included.
