Definitely not. BARS Training Australia has a full-disclosure approach to course fees and costs. Before enrolment, every applicant goes through our pre-enrolment process where the course, training requirements, funding arrangements where applicable, student contribution, full fee-for-service costs and any other relevant charges are explained. This is not simply a BARS policy. Registered Training Organisations are required to provide prospective students with clear and accurate information before enrolment so they can make an informed decision about their training.

Queensland Government funded training also operates under the Skills Assure Supplier framework, which places additional requirements on approved providers delivering subsidised training. If you are accessing Career Start funding, the Queensland Government contributes towards the cost of your training and any applicable student co-contribution is disclosed before enrolment.  There are also strict rules around marketing funded training and the use of incentives or inducements. BARS does not need to offer giveaways to convince people to enrol. We would rather students choose us because of the quality of our training, our experienced facilitators, our student support and our reputation within the Queensland security industry.

Optional additional courses or Statements of Attainment, such as RSA or CPR where offered concurrently, may have a separately disclosed administration or course fee because they require a separate enrolment and certification process. But there should be no surprises.
