Can BARS help regional students find employment?

Regional Queensland Security Training · 20 views
Absolutely. Supporting regional and remote students into employment is one of the things BARS Training Australia is particularly passionate about. After more than 20 years of delivering security training throughout Queensland, we have developed an extensive network of security employers, industry contacts and employment service providers across regional and remote communities.

Our support starts during training. Where possible, we invite local security employers to visit our courses and speak directly with students about available jobs, working conditions and what they look for when recruiting security officers. Once you have completed your training and obtained your Queensland security licence, BARS graduates can access our free Employment Portal, which connects licensed BARS students with security employers and employment opportunities throughout Queensland. BASE Camp provides another way for graduates, employers and other security providers to remain connected and share industry and employment information.

Regional students can actually have an employment advantage in some locations because appropriately licensed security officers can be difficult for employers to find. BARS has established training and industry relationships throughout areas including Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Central Queensland, Toowoomba, Mount Isa, Cape York, Gulf Country and the Torres Strait.

We cannot guarantee anyone a job – ultimately you still need to impress the employer – but we are committed to helping you find one. Our job isn't simply to give you a qualification. We want to see you become licensed, employed and build a successful security career in your own community wherever possible.
