es. Career Start funding is available in regional Queensland where the qualification and Skills Assure Supplier are approved for delivery in that region. BARS Training Australia is proud to be a Queensland Government Skills Assure Supplier approved to deliver the CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations under Career Start across a large part of Queensland. Our approved regions currently include Cairns, Central Queensland, Darling Downs–Maranoa, Ipswich, Townsville, Logan–Beaudesert, Mackay–Isaac–Whitsunday, Gold Coast, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast and Queensland Outback.

This regional coverage is particularly important to BARS because providing security training outside the major metropolitan areas has been a significant part of what we have done for more than 20 years. Queensland Government training arrangements also recognise the additional costs and challenges associated with delivering quality training in country and remote areas. However, living in an approved region does not automatically mean you personally qualify for Career Start funding. You must submit an application containing the required declarations and identification so BARS can complete the applicable Queensland Government eligibility checks.

We cannot confirm your funding eligibility simply over the telephone or by email. Your eligibility, student contribution and all course costs will be fully disclosed during our pre-enrolment assessment, and submitting an application does not commit you to enrolment. If there isn't currently a BARS course scheduled near you, you can also express interest in another location so we know where students are waiting and can consider putting a future regional course together.
