What is CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations?
Security Training and CPP20218·25 views
CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations is the entry-level qualification used to apply for a Queensland Class 1 security provider licence for the functions of crowd controller, security officer (unarmed) and security officer (monitoring). Completing the qualification does not automatically give you a security licence, as the Queensland Office of Fair Trading separately assesses your licence application and suitability.
As a Certificate II qualification, CPP20218 is very practical and demonstrative. Students must demonstrate that they can actually perform required security skills in real or simulated workplace environments, rather than simply learning theory or completing written assessments. This is why the experience, knowledge and practical ability of your security trainer is so important. You cannot effectively teach practical security skills if you do not understand how those skills are applied in the real world. BARS Training Australia (RTO 32061) has seven highly qualified facilitators with more than 250 years of combined experience across security, policing, defence, training and related industries.
Every BARS security facilitator has over 20 years of practical security industry experience and uses that experience to explain not only what students are required to do, but why and how those skills are applied in real security situations. BARS has specialised in security and hospitality training for many years, and our focus is on producing graduates who are prepared for the realities of working in the security industry, not simply completing a qualification.
