Yes. The CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations is made up of 14 core units of competency, and you must be assessed as competent in all 14 units before BARS Training Australia can issue the full qualification. If you have not yet achieved competency in one or more units, the Certificate II cannot be issued until those outstanding requirements have been successfully completed.

This is also important for Queensland licensing because the CPP20218 qualification is used as the training pathway for applying for a Class 1 security provider licence for functions such as crowd controller, security officer (unarmed) and security officer (monitoring). Completing only part of the qualification does not satisfy the full training requirement for that licence pathway.

BARS provides students with training, practical assessment and support throughout the course to help them achieve competency in each unit. If a student needs additional assistance, further explanation, practice or reasonable adjustment may be considered where appropriate, but the required competency standard for each unit still has to be met.
