What happens if I need extra help during the course?

BARS Training Australia has a structured student support process designed to identify what assistance you may need before you commence training and continue that support throughout your student journey. Before enrolment, BARS conducts a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) assessment, considers your existing volume of learning and conducts a pre-enrolment interview. Together, these processes help us understand your existing skills, experience and learning needs and identify how we can best support you.
Where appropriate, support may include additional explanation, learning assistance, extra practice, facilitator guidance or reasonable adjustment. Reasonable adjustment can change how training or assessment is undertaken, but it cannot remove an essential skill or reduce the competency standard you are required to demonstrate. Security attracts people from an enormously broad and diverse range of backgrounds, ages, occupations and life experiences. BARS has been training security providers throughout Queensland for over 20 years and has delivered training in as many as 44 locations.
Our experienced facilitators understand that students do not all learn in the same way or arrive with the same experience. Identifying your LLND skills, recognising your existing volume of learning and discussing your individual circumstances before enrolment means we can plan your training and support from the beginning. If you need extra help, ask. You are not expected to undertake the journey alone – BARS has the experience and support structure to help you through it.
