To start working as a security officer in Queensland, you will need to successfully complete the required units from the CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The training provides the knowledge and practical skills required to perform security duties and forms part of the eligibility requirements for obtaining a Queensland security provider licence. To be licensed in Queensland, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and satisfy the eligibility and suitability requirements of the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT), including being considered a fit and proper person to hold a security licence.
