Absolutely. Female security officers and crowd controllers are highly sought after across many areas of the security industry. Women work successfully throughout the sector, including at airports, licensed premises, major events, shopping centres, hospitals, government facilities and in retail loss prevention. Female security officers often bring excellent communication and conflict-management skills to the workplace and can be particularly effective in situations where communication, empathy and de-escalation are more appropriate than confrontation.

There are also operational situations where having female security personnel available is important, particularly when dealing with female patrons, customers or members of the public. Retail security and loss prevention is another significant area of employment, particularly within major shopping centres, supermarkets and retail businesses dealing with shop stealing and other security incidents.
